Purposes of processing
The purpose of the processing is to measure the impact of an Advertiser’s advertising campaign displayed by JCDecaux on its street furniture on footfall in the Advertiser’s points of sale (drive-to-store measurement).
The objective is to determine the number of people who have been exposed to the campaign and who have visited one of the Advertiser’s points of sale within 14 days of the end of the campaign.
Means
This processing is carried out by 1) the transmission by JCDecaux to Smart Traffik of the precise locations of the advertising panels and the shops concerned by the campaign, 2) the collection of the advertising identifiers of people located near the panels during the campaign period, then in the advertiser’s shops, then 3) the reconciliation of this information to determine the number of people exposed to the campaign who went to the shops.
The data is retrieved via partner mobile applications, which share the information using a tool integrated into their applications (‘SDK’).
Personal data
The data concerned by the processing has been determined jointly by JCDecaux and Smart Traffik, namely:
- Users’ advertising identifiers (“IDFA” / “GAID”)
- Timestamps
- Location data (latitude / longitude)
Legal basis
The legal basis for processing is the consent of the persons concerned.
Consent is collected by partner mobile applications.
Distribution of obligations
Information to data subjects
Smart Traffik undertakes to clearly inform the persons concerned about the processing of their personal data carried out via the oKube solution, in particular by making a privacy policy easily accessible on its website. This policy details the purposes of the processing and explicitly mentions JCDecaux as the joint controller. Smart Traffik is solely responsible for the compliance of this information with current legislation.
Exercise of data subjects’ rights
Data subjects may exercise their rights (access, rectification, deletion, etc.) directly with Smart Traffik, which undertakes to process such requests within a maximum period of one month. If a request also concerns JCDecaux, Smart Traffik will promptly inform JCDecaux in order to coordinate an appropriate response. Any request received by JCDecaux will be forwarded to Smart Traffik without delay.
